I've now imported two cars via Autoport, both PHEVs, and I am happy to report that on both occasions I found the process to be seamless. Each time their team took care of everything from pre-purchase inspection in Japan to compliance and vinning in NZ, providing email updates along the way - the only hard part was waiting for my vehicles to arrive! The only paperwork on my end was applying to NZTA for the Clean Car Rebate. I found the service provided by Autoport NZ effortless, timely and efficient. After deciding on the make and model of car I wanted to purchase, I browsed their website and found a late model, low mileage Toyota Roomy at a reasonable price. It would have been impossible to find a car of equivalent quality or price in any car yard in NZ, I know because I tried. Whilst purchasing a car sight unseen may seem risky, the vehicle exceeded my expectations.
