Kia Ceed Hatchback Cars

The Kia Ceed Hatchback is a well-rounded compact car that offers a comfortable ride, ample space and modern technology. The fourth-generation model, released in 2018, comes with an updated design and new safety features.

In terms of performance, the Ceed is available with two petrol engines: a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces 88 kW of power and 172 Nm of torque, or a larger 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that outputs 103 kW of power and 242 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Ceed also features Drive Mode Select, which allows drivers to choose between Eco, Comfort or Sport modes to suit their driving style and road conditions.

Inside the cabin, the Ceed has plenty of room for both passengers and cargo. It offers 395 litres of boot space (1,291 litres with the rear seats folded down) which is generous for its class. The infotainment system features an eight-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as standard.

When it comes to safety, all models come equipped with autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane-keep assist (LKA), driver attention alert (DAA) and forward collision warning (FCW). Higher-spec models include blind-spot detection (BSD) and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA).

For Australian driving conditions, the Ceed’s comfortable suspension should handle poorly maintained roads well while maintaining excellent cornering ability through tighter turns. Furthermore, its compact size will prove useful in inner city areas while still being large enough to provide a comfortable drive for families on longer journeys.

Overall, the Kia Ceed Hatchback presents itself as a strong competitor in the compact car segment. Its combination of performance, comfort and safety features make it an ideal choice for Australian drivers looking for an efficient yet reliable vehicle that can tackle any road condition comfortably while offering great value for money.
