Stop reading - call them up and have a chat. Communication was faultless and we were in good hands throughout. The car's been stripped down, inspected for hidden damage, and arrived on our driveway without a scratch. First of its model registered in NZ - no dramas. Old man almost cracked a smile. I had a great experience buying through Autoport.
After I had selected a vehicle in Japan the Autoport team swung into gear and their Japanese agent checked the vehicle out at the car lot. I wanted to make sure it was accident free, the mileage was as indicated and the car was in good condition for its age. After making sure all was Ok I entered into a purchase agreement and the deposit was paid. From that point on the purchase was without any hassles.
When the car arrived at the Japanese departure dock it was checked out by Autoport's accredited agents to meet NZ Government entry requirements. It passed with flying colours and was then on the boat to NZ.
On arrival in NZ all the compliance details were handled professionally by Autoport and then the balance of the purchase was paid.
After registration was completed the car was ready for pickup.
At all stages of the purchase I was kept fully informed by Autoport's friendly staff, Daniel and Carlene.
This was my first Japanese car purchase and Autoport made it a pleasant experience - my initial apprehension gone.
